There is so much inquiry learning that can take place in and around the home. In this resource you will find great ideas for stimulating curiosity though everyday interactions children can have in their immediate outdoor environment. These inquiry ‘moments’ can take place in a school yard, local park or the smallest backyard! Even when our circumstances are restrictive, there are always possibilities that allow us to connect to the natural world. These “off line” inquiry moments require no resources other than a small outdoor space and perhaps a pen and notebook. They may be enjoyed in collaboration with teachers, caregivers, siblings or experienced by the child independently. Time outdoors is vital to our well-being and a surefire way to provoke wonder.
